Z.AI (02513.HK) has recently completed a large-scale data center with a designed power capacity of 1 gigawatt, fully adopting domestically produced AI chips, according to Bloomberg, citing sources.
The move marks a key step for Chinese AI companies in promoting localization, shunning reliance on products from NVIDIA Corporation (NVDA.US), and building independent computing power infrastructure.
The data center has reportedly partially commenced operations to support the development of its advanced GLM platform. Z.AI has built or operated multiple computing clusters within the facility, with each cluster equipped with more than 10,000 chips.
